Since 1988, 3Keys has empowered thousands of people to achieve stability.

Driven by a mother’s desire to help her son who was living with mental illness avoid living on the streets, she gathered a group of friends to appeal to civic and business leaders whose lives had been affected in some way by mental illness. The group approached Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter who generously hosted the first gathering of these leaders at The Carter Center. By the end of the night, Mrs. Carter committed herself to helping develop a model of excellence in Atlanta. Together they launched Project Interconnections, Inc., now known as 3Keys, Inc.

Mrs. Carter not only provided early support for 3Keys, but she continued her involvement and contributions as an honorary board chair until her passing in 2023.

Read more about Mrs. Carter’s impact at 3Keys in an article featured from August 2023 in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

“There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home.”
