Housing and Supportive Services

Housing and Supportive Services

3Keys exists for a single purpose: to end chronic homelessness.

For someone who has experienced homelessness and mental illness, living in a supportive environment is key to their success.

3Keys owns and manages hundreds of supportive housing units across six facilities throughout the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County. We work closely with the Atlanta Continuum of Care (CoC) Coordinated Entry Program to fill our residential apartments with the most at-need people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Each resident has their own furnished apartment, and 3Keys provides and/or coordinates with partners to provide a wide variety of supportive services tailored to meet each resident’s needs. On-site support services include, but are not limited to:

  • Case management

  • Employment assistance

  • Transportation

  • Health screenings

  • Medication assistance/monitoring

  • Budgeting/financial literacy

  • Wellness classes

  • Substance use counseling

  • Food assistance

  • Assistance with basic needs and daily living skills.

Providing permanent, stable housing with wrap around services has many positive outcomes for our residents including reduced hospitalizations, reduced incarcerations, reduced likelihood of returning to homelessness, decreased symptoms of mental illness, better physical health outcomes, and an overall improved quality of life.

Welcome House

Welcome House serves some of the city’s most vulnerable residents. Located in downtown Atlanta, Welcome House offers very low-income residents the opportunity to have a safe place to live while receiving onsite support from 3Keys staff. Welcome House residents have both mental health and substance use disorders, but their needs vary greatly. Services are tailored to help each resident live a lifestyle of independence instead of a return to homelessness, incarceration, or constant institutional care.
