New 3Keys Partnership with Assistance League Atlanta: A Game-Changer for Welcome House

At The 3Keys, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the support we offer to individuals experiencing homelessness, and we’re thrilled to share an exciting update: starting in August, we launched a powerful new partnership with Assistance League of Atlanta (ALA). ALA is generously providing a wide range of in-kind donations that help us improve the lives of our residents at Welcome House, one of our six properties in metro Atlanta.

Here’s a look at the ways ALA has been helping Welcome House:

• Move-in kits: When someone is transitioning out of homelessness and into a new home, ALA helps make that fresh start easier by providing essential move-in kits, including kitchen supplies, bedding, and other necessities.
• Hygiene kits: With ALA’s support, we’re able to provide essential hygiene kits that help our clients maintain dignity and self-care.
• Cleaning supplies: ALA’s donations of cleaning products make sure that clients have the tools they need to keep their new homes fresh and safe.
• Clothing: From professional attire for job interviews to seasonal clothing, ALA’s donations have helped ensure that individuals have appropriate and comfortable clothing.
• Recreation program donations: ALA also supports our recreation program, which is key to fostering a sense of normalcy, fun, and community for the people at Welcome House. They provide items for sports, arts, and other activities that help our clients build connections and improve their well-being.
• Specific requests for individuals: If we identify an urgent need for a particular individual — whether it’s a winter coat, baby supplies, or a specific piece of furniture — ALA steps in to meet that need.

For people experiencing homelessness, every little bit helps. A move-in kit, clean clothes, or a hygiene kit may seem like small things, but they are essential to rebuilding lives and restoring hope. This partnership is not just about meeting basic needs; it’s about showing that someone cares, and that can make all the difference in someone’s journey out of homelessness. Through the generosity of Assistance League of Atlanta, we’ve been able to give our clients the tools they need to create stability in their lives. 

The vision of Assistance League of Atlanta is “To be recognized as a leading organization committed to improving the quality of life for people in need.” From their website: 

Assistance League of Atlanta is an all volunteer charitable organization that addresses the needs of low-income children lacking proper school clothing; displaced families living in shelters, cars and motels; indigent new mothers; children traumatized by crisis situations; patients recovering from devastating injuries; and promising students who lack the resources to pursue higher education.

Our programs are funded by the sale of donated clothing and household goods in our Attic Treasures Thrift Shop in Chamblee, Georgia, as well as monetary donations and grants. We return more than 70% of our income to the communities we serve, primarily because we have NO PAID STAFF.

At 3Keys, we are deeply grateful to the Assistance League Atlanta for their ongoing support and commitment to helping our clients thrive. Their in-kind donations are making a real difference, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.
